Dressing like Gourmet

As I have said many times before: Gourmet is my favourite fashion magazine. This month there is an amazing photo spread of cookies laid out on textiles. Apparently the cookie photos were used for the subscriber covers. Lucky them.

Anyways, I finally figured out the Gourmet styling secret. Blue. Layers of it. Everything just pops against it. Check it out, it’s been going on for years. You all probably noticed this a while ago, but don’t interrupt because I feel like a genius right now.

So here is how it relates to the fashion. If you need to be fancy-layer lots of blue, different shades and textures, doesn’t matter. The trick is you also need some red somewhere. Then it becomes something. The canape on your plate.
